Lonely Valentine Sale
Just a quick hint: We’ve scheduled World of Goo iPad for a one-day “99c Lonely Valentine Sale” for Thursday, February 10th for everyone else out there awaiting a cold and cheap Valentines Day. “We may not have love, but we’ll always have Goo,” said the big pink Beauty Ball as she rolled into the grinders.

I have an iPad, and a copy of World of Goo that I should have waited to save $9 on. Wonder how many entrepreneurs and app store developers realize that 20% off is a promotion, 90% off is taunting anyone who paid full price.

Hey Jeroen, if World of Goo (or any app) crashes for you, try power cycling your ipad by holding down the power button, sliding the red slider over, and turning on again. Sometimes these iOS devices get their memory all mucked up with old lingering apps.

Enjoyed it on Wii, downloaded the iPad version couple of minutes ago. Everything about this game is simply amazing, dreamy, ‘Burtonesqued’ to the last detail. Thank you guys, will download the music now :)

The App is not on sale in the Australian App Store.
It is still $5.99.

Seems to be over now, which is a shame, as so many friends were really excited to be able to buy and play world of goo again on another platform for such a low price. Six bucks is hard for them to justify for a game they’ve already played. Oh well.
Glad the sale seemed to do it’s job. You guys deserve the world. :)

Update: Wow lots of comments from Australians and New Zealanders!
The sale was for one day only: Thursday Feb 10 and ended around 8pm local time Thursday evening. For you guys in the future over there in Australia and New Zealand, the sale probably finished before the rest of the world had a chance to catch up with the news, but the game is still 50% off in all regions around the world (and only a few dollars difference anyway), so I hope you guys are still able to enjoy the game.

Wish the sale was longer, along with the fact that a weekend deal may have worked better for those who missed this one. :( Having the game on other platforms, the sale price of $0.99 seemed just right.
Please plan future deals for weekends if possible, and also keep them alive for at least a couple of days.

Once again I missed out on the sale. Woke up, eating breakfast and noticed World of Goo is on sale again. Go straight to purchase and already the app is back at $5.99 AU. Very frustrated that the sale only last overnight in AU when I am sleeping.
