Valentine Updates
The emails are trickling out. Our hosting provider lets us send only 50 per hour, because if we sent more than that, spam would be profitable or something. Thanks to the brave first batch of people who got the game and found a horrible bug in our installer script - it is fixed now, so download again!

Got the email around 6am GMT. Had a quick go before work and am already loving it. Congrats on a great game :)
February 15th, 2008 at 1:15 am
I received my mail and everything, installed the game, registered it (will that still be necessary in the full version? I mean online registration) and played the first two levels.
It all went smooth, though I was a bit confused in the main menu. Maybe an arrow pointing at the planet and saying something like “hover here” or “free Goo” will get people to quickly understand where to point. :)
“:::Cricket:::: game must be good, after the preview came out all you guys disappear :p”
We all went to bed, because it was too late, you Americans from the past. :P
Now I just have to finish working -_- to get back to my precious Goo. My precioussss. Wonder how long the first chapter will keep me up entertained. I haven’t even checked yet, if there is a highscore for towerbuilding with the goo you earned. I noticed the upload stats-feature for each individual level though.

Man, this is genious.
I totally love the friction, the swinging thing, the ivy balls, everything! Goo Factory Highscore thing is great, too!
The atmosphere, the balloons! And who would’ve thought that goo would swim? Well, sort of…
I WANT MORE! NOW! ^^
Congratulations to this fantastic game!
February 15th, 2008 at 1:50 am
Played about 7 levels, it’s excellent. Great variety. Can’t wait for the full game!
February 15th, 2008 at 2:37 am
Shouldn’t this game contain a warning about loss of work productivity? I mean my boss will be upset if I keep playing with goo all day. Only solution is for me to get him to buy it so I won’t be the only one playing it.
February 15th, 2008 at 4:49 am
please! Kyle! Ron! wake up! I sent you an email with my details. puhleaasssee, I want to goo around *sobs*
February 15th, 2008 at 6:59 am
Wahoo :D
Got my early copy and downloaded it today….and I absolutely frickin love it to bits already :D
Everything is so damn cool and awesome! Having some trouble completing some levels, but if I persevere I will be fine.
February 15th, 2008 at 7:15 am
I’ve just finished the preview. This is really, really excellent - congratulations both of you, and best of luck with the IGF!
February 15th, 2008 at 7:18 am
Nick! You should have it now :)
February 15th, 2008 at 7:38 am
Is there anything specific I have to do to get the game working? I pre-ordered it, got the download link and installed it. When I launched I briefly see the “connecting to Goo world” (or whatever the text says) and then there’s no indication of anything else happening. Just a black screen. Tried it several times, waited for a few minutes - no result.

February 15th, 2008 at 8:49 am
Sure wish somebody would drop me a build, hehehe :p
February 15th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Is there anyway to install this on 2 seperate PCs. i have it installed at home, but i would like it on my laptop as well.
February 15th, 2008 at 11:16 am
Just a thought - I little annoyance I keep coming up with is that when I try to grab a joint from a structure I’ve built, I end up grabbing a piece of goo instead. How about an option for left click to grab goo and right click to grab a joint? Or is it too late for changes like that? :)

There is a similar request on the beta-test forum, and I think Ron & Kyle are planning to add this in the future.
February 15th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
Who is Big Winner Uncle Dave. In the game I’m first, on the leaderboard I’m second.
btw, Thanks for this great preview.
February 15th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
woops, the ranks being given in game were actually rank-1. Fixed now. Big Winner Uncle Dave must be the biggest winner there ever was

Hey guys!
Thanks for the preview - what an awesome game! Fresh ideas - great style! I really thought, I’d sensed the spirit of Tim Schafer floating round in there somewhere… I can’t wait for the full game to arrive!
Is there a way to change the screen-resolution, btw? Or will there be in the final game? Possibly even including 16:10-modes?
February 15th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
How Uncle DAve managed to procure that many goo balls I’ll never know! A patient lad to be sure.
Also how frustratingly addictive building your tower is. I kept of getting up to about 18m or so with ny 150 balls only to over reach myself trying to get past just one more cloud and see my wonderful creation come tumbling down.
Damn you 2D Boy don’t you know I’ve got work to do!
February 16th, 2008 at 3:11 am
Just completed the preview too. Amazing stuff, very much looking forward to the game!
Though it does needs a certain UI tweak-maybe so that the right clicks would select the underlying gooball, like with Ivy gooballs, otherwise it takes some time to wait for the free gooballs to go away before you can actually remove one of the locked gooballs from the structure.
February 16th, 2008 at 5:26 am
well….since you don’t see him in the top10 of any level, I think I know what happened.
February 16th, 2008 at 11:20 am
News for today:
“LONG TIME FRUSTRATED GAMER GETS RELIEF BY PLAYING WITH GOO!”
Brilliant game…i´m lost for words
I think you could actually get away with selling each chapter individually for $4.99…:P
February 16th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
My god. I apologize for not posting more, but I have been following this game for a long time, and it is amazing. I honestly can’t believe something this good exists. Awesome job and congrats.
February 17th, 2008 at 6:04 am
thanks kyle, yeah, I sent the email then a few hours later (2am in the morning lol) i check my email and wooo! i stayed up til 3 and completed the chapter. awesome game. i love it. i love it. i absolutely positively love it :D ^_^
February 18th, 2008 at 1:36 am
When I started the game for the first time, I thought “Wow, that’s amazing”. Additionally to the extraordinary idea to make a game with goo balls, the game features graphic and sound that I didn’t expect of an independent game. In fact, it looks to me as a much more “professional” game, meening that each part (graphics, sound, gameplay, balancing) was done by people who don’t do anything else than their special part. This game is so much worth the money I payed for it!
*sigh* can’t wait for the other chapters to be published.
*runs of to stick goo balls together*

Any news on the Linux version? I pre-ordered the game too :)
